| Water Crossing Notes: |
Used water shoes on 2 large crossings in morning. Rock hopped them in afternoon. Poles and a couple of well placed leaps needed on route I chose. It was possible keeping feet dry if seeking out a doable route. I went down stream on Franconia Brook crossing and upstream on Lincoln Brook crossing. To sum it up if you're not comfortable with crossings you may want to plan on an easy wade or getting feet wet and obviously more risky with higher water levels. Levels quite low today. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Lincoln Woods and Franconia Brook trails in fine condition. One blowdown with branches in path on Franconia Brook section. Lincoln Brook Tr. had its normal blowdowns and wet sections. It was much drier than normal out there and you could stay on center of trail in those sections with careful foot placement or use trails on the side avoiding those spots. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Water available except on ridge of Owl's Head. |
|
| Bugs: |
Different species out and hungry. Repellant and movement kept them from being overly annoying. |

| Comments: |
With the drier conditions this hike had much more enjoyable walking today. Always will be wet sections but able to pick your way through them currently. Slide (still steep) and lots of loose stuff on lower section to be careful on. Fair amount of traffic; nice to run into Chris and Kyle near top on one of their epic adventures as well as chatting with many others. |
