Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: After leaving the old railroads bed the first, second, and fourth brook crossings on the Bondcliff Trail were easily crossed on rocks. The third crossing was dry.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in good condition. The upper leafed branches of a beech tree disguise the whereabouts of the Bondcliff trail between the railroad bed and the first brook crossing. A small saw can eliminate many of the smaller branches. A larger saw may be required on other sections of the tree.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw some dogs today. The onlt tough section may be the ledge at the alpine zone edge below the Bondcliff summit. Water is scarce at higher elevations.
Bugs
Bugs: Some bugs but they weren't a nuisance today.

Comments
Comments: Great day to hike the Bonds. Picture perfect conditions. Views in all directions.
The Bondcliff Trail is generally moderate grades and decent footing. There is some rougher footing on the ridge between Bondcliff and Bond nearer the bottom of the Bond slope.
Lots of hikers enjoying the day - day hikers to the Bonds, Pemi Loopers, and overnight campers.
