Comments: The Knight's Hill Trail runs between Dunfield Road and Rowe Mountain Road (1.8 miles) and its east terminus is at Rowe Mountain Road right between the White House and Barn I described above. I think people access this area now from the Blizter Easement just north of here. Knight's Hill is in the 1976 White Mountain Guide and the reason I know about this access. I asked permission of the owner of the property to hike Rowes Hill and was given the okay. I followed the path and instead of taking a right at the sign for Knight's Hill Trail I continued straight ahead. The path was easy to follow and went up steadily and turned and led to the col just south of the Rowes Hill high point bump. From this point I just bushwhacked to the summit cairn and looked around. There was plenty of moose sign. I had some time to spare so I continued north following a path marked by orange ribbon and some older blue ribbon to the next bump if I had time I would have continued all the way to Knights. So headed back, I then followed some old logging roads and moose paths whacking more steeply back down and intersecting the path. Pretty woods and nice hiking. Yet the best views are from Rowe Mountain Road...drive your car to the very end of the maintained section of road because the opening at the last house of the road is a billion dollar vista from East to North.
