| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Managed to find a spot in the parking lot (fee area) as it was shortly after noon. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Managed to rock-hop both ways across the Ellis River on the Wildcat Ridge Trail. It was far from trivial however. Flow was mostly slow and shallow, fording might have been easier... |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Not sure they would appreciate the crossing... Saw several by the falls, but keep an eye on them/leash them in this area as there are some dangerous spots. |

| Bugs: |
Not an issue. Temps or wind? |

Since it was red-lining day, and the water levels low I wanted to finish the 1/10-mile section I had left of the Wildcat Ridge Trail. The stream crossing was tricky, but I managed with only a minor boot dunk (my own clumbsiness's fault). While I was there I went down to the falls through throngs of tourists, as I was there and unsure if it officially counted for redlining or not (it does not appear it does). It was a nice set of falls though, but people really seem to want to be the next Darwin Award winners...ducking fences to stand on slippery rocks on the edges of waterfalls...sigh. I didn't stay long. |
