Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None. At about the 2 mile mark there was significant ice build up in concentrated area which trickled into a small stream just below the alpine zone.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Great conditions for end of May.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: On the way up my group saw 0 dogs. Upon reaching the summit we saw about 5 dogs with different owners. On the way down we passed quite a few dogs. Seems like a fantastic trail for dogs!
Bugs
Bugs: In the parking lot we were dealing with some mosquitoes, but upon ascent it was not so bad. Mosquitoes and black flies seemed to finally catch up with us as we made our way down the mountain.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments
Comments: First hike of the season for my girlfriend and I. We went with another couple that did not have as much experience as us and they really enjoyed the climb. Was a great workout, and at times the push upwards was overwhelming for beginners. Definitely worth it once we made our way above tree line. Open face at the top, and beautiful view of Bretton Woods. Great day out!
