60 degrees at start at 6am. Trails were great and crossing a non issue. Took a 10' slide on flume slide. My bad. Trying out my new rock climbing skills. Works better if you are on a rope if you slip. Nice case of cuts and road rash. Broke Wayne's rule 1 and 2 but picked up my carcass and got on with the day.
Headed over to Liberty. saw a little ice in the shadows of the trench along the way. That was it. At least in that area you can put away your micros. Was peaceful up to Haystack. Stopped before I got there and dressed up my wounds, did not want to scare any of the tourists. Slight wind going over but conditions were great. Met 300-400 of my newest best friends. Great undercast. Lots of sun to east going across the ridge and nice cooling cloud cover on the way down.
Conditions down to Bridal Path were slick due to all the traffic. Had never been on bike path between Lafayette CG and Basin, definitely a nice stroll.
Good to be back in the house. |
