Cedar Brook was a log bridge, Carrigain Branch was a rock hop, the crossing of the East Branch at Stillwater was a rock hop, Thoreau Falls was as easy as it's ever been, crossing of the North Fork to the crash memorial on the old Thoreau Falls trail was a rock hop at both ends, TFT Bridge is still standing, Hancock Branch was a hop. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
It's Wilderness so there are many, many blowdowns, especially on Shoal Pond Trail. Nothing that required much effort to go around or over. Overall the trails are in really good shape and my boots stayed mostly dry. |

| Comments: |
An absolutely stellar couple of days in the Pemi. Water crossings are all cake. The snow is all but completely gone except on the heavily traveled section of Cedar Brook between the loop and Hancock Notch and Hancock Notch from Cedar Brook to the TH where a sloppy monorail remains. Not enough to warrant traction. |
