Beautiful day for a hike. I did the Cabot loop and stayed at Unknown Pond for the nights. I went up Bunnell trail and hooked up with Kilkenny Ridge trail. I kept my spikes off until descending from Cabot to the Bulge. I enjoy them on until I was almost the Unknown pond. I would still recommend bringing some traction if you plan on the loop. Also, if you're doing the loop in a day, I would suggest going counter-clockwise to avoid descending on ice...my own preference. |
