Comments
Comments: When summit forecast was for "winds light and variable", I had to try this in spite of feeling tired. After using traction for ice on several wooded peaks last couple weeks, left it in pack for Mt Washington. Last half mile of Jewell below treeline had snow bonding well to ice and was good walking uphill, met a guy coming down who said I needed serious traction and showed me his Yaktrax! Above treeline mostly bare rock with snowfields in level spots which were OK. Followed ATV path down next to cog (after last trains of day), interesting to see railway close up but not what I would call a nice path.
