Comments
Comments: Lincoln Woods Trail and Franconia Brook Trail are fine, with the usual muddy spots.
The Lincoln Brook Trail past Owls Head Path is tough to follow going uphill. Spotty snow with descending bootprints were my guide up until around 3000' elevation, and then it was lots of snow w/bootprints. Over the height of land and descending into the Franconia Brook drainage, the trail is wet, swampy, and covered with up to 2 feet of rotting snow and unstable ice bridges. Broke through multiple times, at one point I broke through a snow bridge and ended up knee-deep in the muck underneath. Good times.

I saw one pair headed the opposite direction on LBT, just after I started to descend. And another group of overnighters followed my up later in the afternoon (saw them as I was hiking out Sunday on the FBT).
