I went up the Brook Trail to Gunstock summit intending to return by the Overlook trail. The Gunstock Mountain trail from the south which is indicated as blazed white on the map has been repainted to orange and since I was looking for orange on the Overlook trail, I went down the south side of Gunstock to the road. This added about 3.5 miles to my intended hike. The map shows only one orange trail leading off the summit of Gunstock when there are in fact 2 orange trails. |
