| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The Carriage Road gate is still closed and may remain that way for the foreseeable future, as the state is now mandating the volunteer gatekeepers to sign an agreement that some are uncomfortable with (including the rights of their heirs). The Carriage Road itself is snow free and dry and would otherwise be driveable. |

| Comments: |
Gunstock Mountain Trail was generally dry with some minor mud and wet ledge. A few avoidable small patches of ice. No snow, apart from on the ski area up top.
Short section of the Brook Trail had significant mud and running water and patchy ice (not nearly enough to warrant traction). Saddle Trail and Blue Trail also had some small patches of ice and a fair amount of mud from the thawing ground.
BRT portion of the White Trail was okay, but there was one short section below it that still had a stretch of blue ice (carefully bypassed). I don't believe I encountered any ice from the junction to the summit of Piper, but there was minor mud there and on the lower White Trail.
Gated Carriage Road (see Road Access Notes above) is snow/ice free and dry. |
