Comments
Comments: Started early and welcomed first Spring sunrise from Pierce. Spikes from the get-go which were sufficient until descent of Ammy. *Spectacular* morning above treeline, with bright sun and very light winds. Sun was HOT; it was a sunscreen and sunglasses day. :) Saw no one until Monroe, then about 20 more between hut and summit, including a couple of guided groups.

Descent of Ammy required crampons and strong knees. Huge, towering ice flows were impressive! Will take awhile for all that ice to melt! (Descended Jewell Trail last week which was much less icy.)
