Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the end of Alton Mountain Road. Spoke with the owner of the property the trail starts on, and he said the newest AMC maps are incorrect, that there is no official parking at the end of the road. He says he usually let's people park in the log landing just after the last house. So no official parking, but parking allowed? There is active logging going on, and no trail signage at the start of Old Stage Road, for this route go down the logging road to the right of the woodshed and follow it to the red blazed Anna-Mack Trail.

Comments
Comments: A few hours well spent the Belknaps, exploring some new to me trails. Was able to bareboot the entire hike, though my companion preferred spikes for some of the icier sections. Tree'd views from Anna, and some decency from Mack, but it wasn't a view laden day. Enjoyed checking out Carbonneau Cave. Thanks to Anya for a good hike in the sun and cloud today before the rains!
