Comments
Comments: Sticky snow to start with an inch or so of fresh powder. Used microspikes to Bald Knob junction. Kept them on for another mile then switched to K-10 crampons. Lots of hard ice under fresh snow. Was snowing the entire time...2-3inches of light powder up high. Too boney and icy for snowshoes. Recommend sharp spikes or traction for upper Kinsman Trail and Kinsman Ridge. A winter wonderland night hike!
