Comments
Comments: There was just a dusting of snow at the parking lot. It gradually increased as I made the brook crossings. At the hitch-up ledge there was about 4 inches covering the rock and ice. The footing across Bondcliff to the treeline of Bond was tricky. It might be rock or knee deep snow. It was more of a weightless white mist then frozen precip. It hid all kinds of ice, frozen crust and rocks. From the treeline over to West Bond the footing was much better. At times there was probably 6 inches of snow. I saw a million squirrels, one large Fischer cat but only two hikers that had done Owl's Head. Very quiet day in the woods.
