| Comments: |
A thin film of snow atop a substrate of ice. The microspikes proved to provide adequate traction for the entire route. Snowshoes are not required as the surface is rock hard. One sign at the summit was on the ground leaning against a tree. The Sossman trail over to the top of the ski area was a bit less packed but still easy to hike. The snow guns were very noisy in places. It was easy to walk out to the east outlook with the good view of the ski area. Lots of hikers and skiers on the trail today. |
