Water Crossing Notes: while they are open on Gale River, they are all easily rock-hoppable with care

Comments
Comments: used microspikes until I returned from North Twin; for the South Twin descend back to Galehead Hut I switched to crampons; some very icey sections on that steep trail; no problem with crampons; one other hiker used mountaineering snowshoes and also had no troubles; one hiker was in microspikes and was fine but had to be careful/aka 'hug trees' at times; kept crampons on until end of Gale River trail simply because they were no hindrance and assisted on icey sections, but would not have been needed after the steep section on Gale River trail
no need for snowshoes in terms of snow depth
met lots of nice people today and quite a few conversations were had; beautiful day with perfect hiking temperature and no wind to speak of
