Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Although I went up from the ski area, the Ragged Mountain trailhead lot near the height-of-land on New Canada Road is well-plowed. NO uphill pass is needed if you hike up from New Canada Rd. From the ski area, an uphill pass is required.

Comments
Comments: I was curious about the old backcountry ski trail ("Wilson's" or "Wilson's Wonder") on the south side of Ragged and found the entrance point on the Upper Easy Winder ski trail at just below 2000'. There are signs once you go into the woods a short distance, maybe 100' or so. Entrance is not super-obvious but there is orange tape on a small tree on the skier's right side of Upper Easy Winder. The top section follows the "4WD" dotted line on the most recent USGS topo map. It was too bony to ski/skin after I explored the ridge portion, but, I will have to go back and see where it connects to Proctor Academy. Wilson's is very grown in and looked too flat to downhill ski, but, could probably be XC skied with care.
