Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost - sentimental visor hat with ear flaps, grey, "New Zealand" on front. Seen by other hikers now hanging on a tree near bottom of Orange Trail (Piper) a few hundred yards above the junction with the white trail. If you find it, please grab it and call or text 603-455-3216. TIA as I won't have a chance to get back up there for some time...

Comments
Comments: Thin cover on parts of Gunstock ascent with lots of ice. I used old beater snow shoes and had no problems but light traction in boots would work well too. Used snowshoes until Piper descent when switched to light traction as was quite rocky. Many areas with very good snow cover and nice comfortable, even luxurious snowshoeing so I encourage people to use them and the trail will get even nicer. New platform decking on tower (Belknap) and no ice on the stairs right now so great climbing for better views.
