Comments
Comments: Beautiful day early with low wind and sunshine. Plenty of ice but not enough for spikes IMO. Wind picked up at the summit and first drops of rain detected on the way down at Zeacliff. Walked out in a very light sprinkly rainy stuff. Heavy rain by exit 40. Nice to meet Tim(single digits away from finishing GRID) and Hiker Ed. Nice to pick their brains about equipment and general hiking stuff! A rare treat indeed. I talked to a forest service officer and he indicated the gates should be open through this weekend if there is no big snow storm or other hazardous situation.
