| Comments: |
This was our first time on the section of the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway near Lake Solitude -- it will not be our last. Some of the nicest, most picturesque, gentle ledge-walking to be had anywhere can be found on the first mile or so south of Lake Solitude. We encountered a few folks on the Andrew Brook Trail early on in the day, but after that, we had the trails to ourselves. A fine day.
Note: there are occasional patches of black ice on the Andrew Brook Trail; all were easily avoided and the light traction stayed in our packs. |
