Comments
Comments: We went in from Camp Walt Whitman off of Cape Moonshine Rd. This was a great fire tower list peak. Excellent views to the East, North and South. Looked down on the lakes and camp. There are 3 memorial plaques on top. Trail was leafy and rocky so use caution. There was mud and water (hidden) in many spots. The trail was a stream in one section. Once on the steeper part water was not an issue. Met the caretaker and he said that hikers were welcome (no need to call as some have). See info on sign above (parking). Gave us a bit of info on the camp and the trail name. Weather was great and great to be out with Fran and Karen again, as well as our fire tower cohorts, Steve and Beth.
