Comments
Comments: i headed across the cemetery at the peak and entered the woods at the far end making sure to avoid houses and posted land to the west. a short ways in i noted a very faint, but pretty continuous herd path that led up to the powerline swath to the summit towers past the posted land. good walking up the powerline cut this time of year. likely not as nice in summer. i was soon up to one of the couple transmission towers around the summit area. on its far side i picked up an old woods road then did a short bushwhack to the highpoint noting a small cairn at the likely spot. the woods road then led a short distance to a cleared area with a beautiful western view out over spofford lake to vermont. i followed the same route down. thanks to the folks who had a couple posts online about this route. there is an access road to the peak, but i am guessing it is not publicly accessible given the location of its starting point.
