| Comments: |
just down townline road from where we parked we hopped on a muddy 4wd road that led up to the southwest shoulder of the peak near a field. from there we took a line on the peak entering mature evergreens then a short band of scrappy spruce/fir before a series of old skidder roads and open woods up high. maybe a half inch of wet snow on the ground. we passed a delapidated camp then climbed over one bump before dropping and climbing to another bump near a second smaller building. a slight rise nearby is likely the highest point and would match well with the spot on the usgs. the prior bump felt like a contender as well, but is farther from the spot. we poked around for a bit for due dilligence then headed back down along the same line we ascended. |
