Trail Maintenance Notes: After last weeks BRATTS trail maintenance day, everything looked great! Trails were well marked which is great considering all the trail junctions.

Comments
Comments: Had a good time over the 22 miles and 14 summits we reached. Started from Gunstock up and down the cell tower road on Rowe for a warm up. Headed to the Carriage Rd lot to find the gate already open. Then went from the Blue Trail to Brook Trail the up to Gunstock and back to the Blue Trail to Belknap with an excellent view! Next we hiked down the Boulder Trail on our way to Round Pond. It was from Round Pond we headed to Klem, Rand, W. and E. Quarry, and N. Straightback, hooking up with the Quarry Spur Trail making it to Major before noon. Didn't see a single person all morning until hitting the Brooks Trail junction! Then we pushed westward to S. Straightback, Anna, Mack and back to Round Pond. It was over and up to the Belknap/Piper col over to do the back and forth to Piper (bear sighting near Piper summit) and Whiteface before heading back to the trailhead. Finally saw our first person that wasn't on Major when we reached Whiteface! A very quiet but fruitful day in the range!
