| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I drove up New Colony Road (no gate) until about 2000' and parked at an old log landing. I had good clearance but wasn't sure about the ruts - probably could have driven all the way to the log landing at the col between cataloochee and the trail to Cilley's Cave, but, chose to walk the road past Mud Pond (I believe) which was really pretty!!!! |

| Comments: |
Nice fairly short bushwhack! I tried to find the old trail from the col to the summit and am pretty sure I hit it in spots but there was no real evidence. Certain spots I could imagine a trail but maybe I was just hoping to see it. Anyway, nice views through the trees but a LOT of hobblebush. |
