Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: ON the west side of the loop, the trail crosses over a beaver dam - that was the most flooded portion of the trail.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Well-blazed but you need to pay attention to blazes at well-marked snow machine intersections - I took the wrong one at the northeast end of the pond and ended up in a really neat cellar hole area!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Absolutely scary!!!! I am not sure but I think they were horseflies - I got a huge welt - not sure what it was but the mark looks like it came from a flying leech.

Comments
Comments: Excellent place to spend an afternoon. I went there to paddle the beautiful little pond (no development encroaches the entire shoreline) and found a LOT of jumping fish. After kayaking around the perimeter of the pond, I went for a jog. There are 2 possible trail choices - I did not take the East Side Trail but would be fun to check out. Anyway, from the parking lot I jogged the ~3mile Kimball Pond Loop - lots of ups and downs and neat bridges. I was afraid the swamps would be nasty to cross but there was good footing. NICE spot!!!! I was kind of bummed I couldn't stop to look at the beaver swamps/pond due to the bug factor.
