Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Two small brooks at beginning of Edmands Path have bridges.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Well blazed. Rock drainage dams all in good shape. There are some very old wooden structures in upper sections of Edmands Path that are basically gone. Several blowdowns of the easy step over, duck under variety. There is one with a small herd path going around. There is also a large widow-make style tree about 1/2 way up Edmands Path (the top of a very large tree snapped off and is suspended upside down about 15' above trail).
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Fine for dogs. Minimal water though. Saw a few dogs out there.
Bugs
Bugs: Some bugs down low but overall was far too breezy to notice anything.

Comments
Comments: Trails in good shape, generally dry with occasional wet/muddy sections here and there. Only awkward section was the last .1 to.2 miles of Edmands Path where it levels off and swings around Eisenhower cone. Still some large chunks of hard monorail and/or soft snow that was awkward in spots to negotiate with the rocky terrain and overhanging scrub. Not worthy of traction but a little caution needed.

Breezy but nice day along the ridge. Steady 25-30 mph winds in most places and I even measured some gusts of 52-53 mph in the col where Edmands Path and Mt Eisenhower join Crawford Path. Strongest, steadiest winds were in that area. Summit of Monroe had a top gust of 39 mph while I was on it. Got a very late start which worked out great - had the ridge and all three summits to myself and the setting sun illuminated the forest as I descended Edmands Path.
