One big crawl-under blowdown at 2.1 slightly after the 2nd outlook and a few step overs around it |

Gnats were irritating and found a tick too, though only when you stopped - so we avoided the bug spray |

Superb sunshine although clouds rolled in and looked threatening when we hit the Howker Ridge trail junction. Coupled with strong winds it made one of our party adamant about turning around although I'll be extracting payment for this as it was such a great day. (Albeit windy) the 2nd outlook and its view up to Madison were great. |
