Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some downed trees but nothing that impedes passage. A few stepping stones could be placed in muddy areas on the old logging road section of the Bunnell Notch Trail. Although some of the bog bridges are broken it did not cause any difficulties. The sign for the spring below the summit was missing but the junction is marked by a small cairn.

Comments
Comments: Essentially a snow free hike. Only small patches of snow on the Kilkenny Ridge Trail just below the cabin and in a few places between the cabin and the summit. The snow can be avoided by stepping on rocks or to the side. Bare boots with no traction will work well.
The summit of Mt Cabot has no views and is near a new large Kilkenny Ridge Trail sign. The Mahoosuc Range can be viewed from the old fire tower clearing just uphill from the cabin. Don't confuse this clearing for the Mt Cabot summit. The sign for the Bunnell Rock outlook best spotted on ascent.
Plenty of flowers in bloom; Painted Trillium, Red Trillium, Trout Lily, Hobblebush, Spring Beauty, and Yellow Hawkweed.
The only other hikers on the mountain were two woman from Concord NH.
