| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Some parts of the Hall Mountain Trail really need some irrigation- they're essentially flooded. Also, the old woods road I took on the way back hasn't been maintained in a LONG time. Blowdowns and debris everywhere, and many sections are completely flooded. |

Bring a good map if you plan to hike around the far southern part of Bear Brook SP! The signage and blazing is very sparse, and some trails aren't shown on most maps. I originally intended to hike out via the gated portion of Podunk Rd, but I took a wrong turn and ended up having to backtrack my way out, which involved a double summit of Hall Mtn, basically doubling the vertical gain.
Again, bring a GOOD map if you plan to hike in this portion of the park. |
