Finally had a chance to check out the old road at the far end of the large field behind the Robert Frost Farm. Turns out it has a name - there were several kiosks along the way - it's the Grinnell Trail - might be mainly for horses as a horseshoe was nailed to one of the trail signs. There is a nice high field outlook along the way - views of a distant peak I could not identify. Trail kind of dead ends in either direction at roads but it's around a miie long - surrounded by nice stone walls and pretty woods. From there, I headed back onto the Nature/Poetry Trail which I always find inspiring!!!! Fun to be able to run again :) |
