Comments
Comments: the road was a mix of wet dirt, mud and about 1" of wet snow. still a foot or two of snow around the highpoint which required about 75 feet of postholing to reach the summit ledge.

given the beautiful afternoon i decided to head up fort after hitting a couple other hikes earlier on. i have been up the mountain numerous times, but today was by far the best views i have had with washington, franconia ridge and moosilauke standing out clear as day along with the many other great views to cardigan, kearsarge, monadnock, etc. such a nice summit.
