Comments
Comments: Not having seen any trail reports for Mount Cube since before snowmageddon I had no idea what to expect. I was very happy to find this trail was broken out and pretty well packed all the way to the summit. However the trail shows signs of recent barebooting activity and became a little chippy on the upper half. I found my MSR's without the extra floats were a good choice today. Note: the Mount Cube Trail from the summit is not broken out beyond 50 yards.

Despite the grey skies excellent views were had from the summit and other viewpoints along the way. I didn't linger too long on the summit due to the cool temps and decent winds but I did hang out at the vista just below the summit for quite some time. Having this great trail and fine mountain all to myself made for an excellent - and peaceful - hike.
