I worked for these. Generally 4 to 6 inches of "Blizzard" snow with drifts to about 12 to 14 inches. Followed a skier to the fire warden trail then broke out all the way to South Twin with snow shoes. Had to break out some of it on the way back as well. Very brisk winds by the time I got to South Twin at 4pm. On the way back across the top of the ridge I had 3 rabbits come busting out of the brush and they zoomed down the trail. As I was watching them I noticed a rather well fed looking mouse crawling across my snow shoes. All that action in a span of 10 seconds and the rest of the day nothing. I expect the forecasted snow will bury my work but it should help folks to see where the packed path is. It was a great day out with spectacular views. Other than the skier I didn't anyone all day |
