Hancock parking lot was a sheet of ice early morning; had melted to slush by afternoon |

As usual first two crossings had a well-established by-pass. Other crossings easy in the morning required some thought on the descent due to melting. Still rock-hoppable. |

| Comments: |
Ascended via South branch and descended from the North. Trail in fine shape throughout. No troublesome blowdowns. Would expect some more serious ice if the snow that melted during the day re-froze. Need a lot more snow before South side will be good for butt-sliding. |
