| Comments: |
Lower elevation, frozen but bare trail. Trace snow and ice increase with the elevation. We put on light traction from the spot of the ubiquitous "ice flow"... although one could still bareboot. There was sheet ice and a few inches of crusty snow along the last .8 mi. along the Carriage Road Trail to the summit. Light traction very helpful along this section.
Winds were high today... so we tagged and turned it around. |
