Hiking Trail Conditions Report

Peaks Beech Hill, NH
Trails
Trails: Bald Ledge Trail, unknown road, bushwhack
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Monday, October 27, 2014
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: i parked at the boat launch at sky pond in new hampton. there is also limited parking by the start of bald ledge trail where road becomes unmaintained. higher clearance could drive another .1 to gate and fork in road but it's relatively pointless to do so.

Comments
Comments: started up the road and was soon at the gate and fork in the road. i went for a short distance to the right then took a line on beech hill and hit the woods. some patches of tight regrowth hardwood to start in a formerly logged area then good open woods up to the summit.

given the number of beech hills in this state i will note that this is the 1,490 peak in new hampton (one of the 100 most prominent peaks in nh). this was a nice short hike with good woods and some filtered views up high to the east. very pretty around sky pond as well.
