Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Leaves - Significant/Slippery

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Streams a little higher than the past few weeks because of the rain. Easy to cross with hiking poles and getting your feet wet. Rock hopping is possible but would be difficult.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail in great shape.

Dog-Related Notes: Saw one friendly golden. Hale Brook is a dog friendly trail.

Comments
Comments: Great hike, trail muddy and slippery due to the rain. Used poles on the descent, none for the ascent. Cold at the top, it was freezing rain around 3:30 for 5 minutes or so. Winter is coming. Trail covered with wet leaves so definitely watch your step.
