Comments
Comments: from the boat launch i went around the pond counter-clockwise on an unmarked footpath that soon feels like a snowmobile corridor. this turned away from the pond where i stuck with the shoreline and was soon on a flagged herd path that made its way up to the stonehouse cliff. awesome spot. the flagged path continued off the other side and split with a snowmobile trail leaving right. i briefly followed this before hitting the woods on a line to bumfagging hill. good woods up to the usgs labelled summit where i hit a woods road/snowmobile trail. i followed this north towards the other high bump which was more interesting with remanants of an old camp. i then took a line back to the stonehouse cliff and followed the footpath around the other side of the pond. i bushwhacked up to the peak east/northeast of the pond and did a loop over its various summit bumps. more real nice woods. then back down to the pond and i followed the footpath back to the boat launch.

with the forecast i though it would be a good day to hit a couple area peaks i had yet to visit and started with bumfagging. though i had been on stonehouse pond i had yet to hike around it so that in itself was a treat. great view point from the cliff. though cloudy there was a great look up to the blue hills. good bushwhack over to bumfagging. i assume there are other ways to get there as well, but this worked nicely. only a couple passing showers while out there.
