Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There are many water crossings on the Pine Bend Brook Trail. Even with a high water level due to recent rains these crossings weren't too difficult. Some rocks used for the crossings were just under water.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of broken bog bridges not too far in from the Kancamagus trailhead on the Pine Bend Brook Trail. Some fallen trees across or protruding in to the trail but these were easy to get by. Some sections of the Pine Bend Brook trail have minor erosion.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Plenty of water for dogs.

Bugs: None

Comments
Comments: All surfaces were wet today. Care was required especially on descent. The most difficult area was the steep rocky slope approaching the top of the river valley (plenty of wet leaves and moss on rocks). At higher elevations the trails passed through primarily evergreen zones which meant no leaves on the ground. Scrambles over the steep slippery ledges just below the North Tripyramid summit can be avoided by using improvised side paths through the adjacent woods.
Met many others hikers from both the Livermore Rd and the Kancamagus trailheads. Some had ascended via North Slide.
