Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Rock hoppable for most. I chose to wade the last crossing. It was a low stress day for my girl and I.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Usual step overs more since last month. Always an adventure on the slide
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Kali enjoyed the hike, the water, the mud, the people, not the Bushwhack so much. She couldn't figure out why I was off trail. Very stressful for her.
Bugs
Bugs: Yes! I got bug bites in October! Bring on the cold.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing was lost. Nothing was found just a little peace and a summit. Life is good.

Comments
Comments: Kali needed Owlshead again in October. I was camping on the other side of the pemi last week before the rain and didn't even think to grab it as we had just been there a few weeks prior. Missed opportunity. Lots of rain made it a little nerve wracking but not bad at all. I chose to explore the black pond Bushwhack even though I was solo to avoid the water crossings. Good practice for incoming winter as well. It went well in both directions using map and compass. Under seven hours with crossings and whack. Back to the car as it started to rain. Nailed it.
