Lovewell Mountain is always a nice hike, but there was so much standing water on the trail that we had to go around all of it; some puddles were more like mini-ponds. Other than that, parts were dry, others were wet, and there were a lot of slippery leaves down low. None up in the spruce forest, though. The summit and its northeastern view were nice as always.
Excellent 1/2 day hike with my Dad. 4.8 mi, 1000 ft. gain (took both blue-blazed spur paths). |
