Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Room at Ferncroft, a couple silly humans parked just off road into Ferncroft parking area to save themselves a few extra yards of walking--no respect for private home owners--they request to hikers to stay out of field. Lots of room at parking area off Whiteface Intervale road (notice there is no road sign for Intervale Road off of 113A).

Water Crossing Notes: Both easily rock hop-able 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Upper McCrillis' hemlocks need some clipping and brushing! Trails dry and good condition.

Dog-Related Notes: hot and little water but we saw a really cute beagle on a leash on the summit of Passaconaway.  
Bugs
Bugs: Yup Yup Yup, seemed rather bad on Whiteface's upper ledges.

Comments: Nice day on the trails. The difficulty of the McCrillis Trail is over-rated, there is much less ledge scrambling than the Blueberry Ledge Trail. I am surprised that this route is not more popular, we enjoyed it very much.
