Comments
Comments: Day 3 of 3, a bit of redline backpacking. Left Eliza Brook at 8, just after the NOBO's took off. Reclimbed most of Mt. Wolf, and descended on Gordon Pond. Found the herd path down to the pond, and sat on the shore for a while. Though some sections were muddy, Gordon Pond Trail was a joy, even if it did coincide with the power line for a bit. Had my thumb out on 112, but no one stopped. Roughly 3.9 miles in (long after I'd given up), a lady with her three granddaughters in back stopped and gave me a ride the rest of the way! She had done a thru-hike of her own, and felt bad for me walking on the asphalt. Thank you!
