Trails were mostly dry and in good shape. This complex has been greatly improved over the past year, providing a much nicer alternative to the customary access road walk up Rowe from Gunstock (also lots of mountain bike options). The Mt. Rowe Trail is fairly new and is blazed in blue. It takes its time via lots of switchbacks, so I opted for the direct Yellow route adjacent to it. Very nice ridge walk above these on the Belknap Range Trail, though the blueberries appear to be picked clean for the season. |
