Comments
Comments: Late start (trailhead by 10:00 AM). Took the Black Pond Trail in an attempt to locate the buskwack; could not find obvious signs of where to pick it up, so despite map and compass, decided to head back to Lincoln Woods Trail and head the long way. The water crossings were easy and the Lincoln/Franconia Brook trails were flat with excellent footing, so you can absolutely fly on these. The slide path to the peak was dry. Once up the slide the path to the true summit seemed to take longer than expected, but once there you cant miss the cairn (and my GPS confirmed the coordinates - 44°8'40" North/71°36'18" West). Still 20 miles of hiking is a long day and I was very happy to get back to the parking lot just as the sun was setting.
