Comments
Comments: The AMC Guide 29th Ed. suggests that the Loop Trail is simply the Short Circuit Trail, renamed, but in fact they are distinct. The west end of the Loop Trail joins the Veterans Trail 40 yards or so from the latter's beginning at the north side of the ski area parking lot. The Short Circuit Trail begins in the woods at the east end of the hikers' lot, where there is a sign, bypasses the ski area lot and joins the Loop Trail nearly halfway to its east end, near Echo Lake.
