Deer Mountain (Berlin)
This was #71 for us on the NH Fire Tower List. This is the second Deer Mountain on the list, the other is in Pittsburg. We started on the Mill Brook Trail and very quickly turned right to start our bushwhack. For the most part the bushwhack was through somewhat open woods, but we did hit some steep spots. We believe we found part of the old Deer Mountain Trail, which was a pleasure to hike on, but short lived. The summit was very open and very buggy. We explored the remains, then headed back down with bug nets on.
We did post a video for anyone interested in seeing the days adventure. |
